Max E. Johnsey,34. passed away January 18, 2020 at his residence in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Max was born April 28, 1985 the son of Michael J. Johnsey and Lisa Faye Gregory.
Max loved playing softball at Murphysboro Riverside Park and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the New England Patriots.
He is survived by his Father and Stepmother Michael and Heather Johnsey of Murphysboro; Mother Lisa Bryant of Herrin, Illinois; wife Brook Vogelsang of Carmel, Indiana; Children; Jayden and Clayton Johnsey of Carmel, Indiana; brothers; Harley and Olivia Hand of Murphysboro; Anthony and Christina McKimmy of Wichita, Kansas ; Robert and Micah Jennings of Murphysboro, Illinois; Deben Jennings of Murphysboro, Illinois; mother in law Leann Vogelsang of Carmel, Indiana; nephews Braiden McKimmy of Wichita, Kansas and Karsyn Ellis of Murphysboro, Illinois and many aunts, uncles, cousins so many dear friends and extended family.
A Celebration of Max’s life will be held Saturday February 1, 2020 at Mt. Carbon Church of God 335 Wells Street Murphysboro, Illinois from 11-1. Service will be at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Frank Cano Officiating.
Max had a huge heart and loved all his family and friends, those of us lucky enough to have crossed paths with him were blessed in so many ways.
