Linda Ruth Clark, 86, passed away Thursday February 24, 2022 at 9:38 a.m. at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale with her family by her side.
Linda was born November 16, 1935 in Metropolis, Illinois the daughter of the late Murlie Ardell and Ruth Adenia (Davis) Worthen.
She married Charles Lester Castleman in 1952. They shared over 32 years of marriage till his passing in 1984.
Linda is survived by her children; Debra and Michael Giovenco of Creal Springs, Illinois; Lester Wayne and Tammy Castleman of Kentwood, Michigan; grandchildren; Justin Castleman, Denton Giovenco, Kellee Stokes; great grandchildren; Waylon Stokes, Anaira Castleman and Kilee Elliott and many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Murlie and Ruth Worthen; husband Charles Lester Castleman; siblings; Darrell Worthen, Bud Worthen, Cassie Atnip, Aleene Williams, Blanche McBride and Jim Worthen.
Visitation will be Wednesday March 2, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Walker Funeral Home in Carbondale. Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Sidney Logwood officiating. Interment will be at Metropolis Memorial Gardens in Metropolis, Illinois.
